japanese, french, german, russian, spanish. i am interested in these languages. Which 2 or 3 languages are the most important? i'd like to study at least 2-3 language in the uni.
so which uni would be the best for me?I'd like to study languages to become translator. Which university would be the best for me in the UK?
You need to research which unis do your preferred combinations of languages. If you've never studied any of them before, I highly doubt that any uni will let you take them all ab initio. Normally you can take 1 language ab initio and 1 or 2 post A level (or equivalent standard). There are always evening language courses at uni too. There are always restrictions on what combinations of languages and levels you can take, as well as restrictions concerning whether you are a native english speaker, so nobody can really answer this question for you.
German is probably very useful but many more people seem to speak French and Spanish, so I'd imagine it's not in as high a demand as Russian and Japanese. I study Russian at uni and used to study French too, and the number in Russian is very low, yet there were over 400 in my year in each of my French lectures.
Look up the university tables and check who is best for languages
