Hi! my mother tongue is russian and at the moment i am in the UK. i don't have any diplomas, i graduated from school last year and i am going to study Law here in the UK next year. my english is good enough, especially reading and understanding texts. i really want to translate from english to russian and earn extra money. however, i don't know how and where to start? any online companies? it would be good for me to translate from home because i am working and studying. but i am not sure if someone employ me without special education.
i need an advice !!Where can i work as a translator? where to start?
The United Nations. Schools, possibly.Where can i work as a translator? where to start?
I would also suggest looking to charities and citizens advices, espeically in areas that have a russian population. You might find language schools run over the summer and need help. Alternatively send some speculative letters out to import/ export companies near you.
Word of mouth would be the best way so even try some of the networking events to see if anyone else knows of good leads near you.Where can i work as a translator? where to start?
You could try CPS / courts / police. Ditto the NHS.
