This depends on a number of different things, such as:
(a) how precise does the translation need to be (a business contract would need to be more precise than a personal letter, for example)
(b) how much specialized technical knowledge/vocabulary you need to know in both languages (is this a legal document involving parts of trains damaged when involved in a collision, thus involving a knowledge of train vocabulary, accident specifics, etc., or is it about general every day life)
(c) how quickly does it need to be done
I've seen people charge 35 cents (US) per word for a document, or for something standardized (like a birth certificate), maybe a set fee.
