How would I say "Good Morning" in Russian?

I'm writing a book and one of the main characters is Russian. Since I don't know any Russian at all and don't always trust online translators, I'm using this to confirm the same result I've been getting from multiple sites: "Dobraye ootra."

Is this right? If it's not, could you give me the right way to say good morning in both the English alphabet and the Cyrillic alphabet? If how it's being used has anything to do with it, the character is saying it to his lover. How would I say "Good Morning" in Russian?
I learned the Ukrainian dialect and was taught (phonetically) : DOBRAY UTRA.How would I say "Good Morning" in Russian?

Sorry, I have no idea.

I should ask Russian friend.

I'll get back to you on that.
