I'm just curious what it says. I have a Russian-English dictionary but I don't have the patience to look it all up. If there are any Russian translators out there, I could use your help! Thanks in advance! What is the Russian-English translation of the Soviet propaganda poster entitled "Dongostabfabrika"?
It says:
In quality there is strength.
Demand our cigarettes everywhere.
Dongostabfabrika, former Asmolov, Rostov-on-Don
For reference:
This factory was established in 1857 by merchant V. Asmolov. The company name was "V.I. Asmolov and CO". It produced high quality tobacco products that received prices at Vienna (1873), Paris (1876) and Philadelphia (1878) exhibitions.
In 1920, the company was renamed as Don State Tobacco Factory. Dongostabfabrika is the abbreviation of this name.
