Is there a need for Russian translators?

I would like to go to school to major in the Russian language, but I don't want to if there is not a good enough need for it because I want to be stable in my career.

Is there a fair enough demand for this or no?

such as the military or other jobsIs there a need for Russian translators?
Same here, I'm a Junior in Highschool and I want to major in Russian as a Bachelor of Arts.

I have currently taken 4 years of German and 2 years of Russian outside of school, and plan to test out of several Russian courses.

i am following my heart when i say i want to major in languages, but, is it going to help me in the long run of a career? Is there a need for Russian translators?
There's a pretty large demand. But that goes for about anything: if you know a foreign language, you are more likely to get a job. There are many ties between companies in Russia and other countries, so it's a fairly useful language.

However, if this isn't exactly your first language I wouldn't suggest it.
