How much demand is there for Russian translators/interpretors in the Navy?

How much demand is there, and what kinds of work could I excpect as a naval officer with a B.A. degree in Russian looking to pursue a career as a fixed-wing aircraft pilot and a Russian translatorHow much demand is there for Russian translators/interpretors in the Navy?
Officers do NOT use language on a daily basis. In fact, the only time O's are given language instruction is if their specific billet calls for it. they are NOT translators in any event, and you wouldn't be able to combine Aviation with Intel anyway.

with a BA and not a BS, your chances of getting picked up for Aviation are slim.

Russian is not a frequently taught language at DLI and again, is only used when specific billets call for it.How much demand is there for Russian translators/interpretors in the Navy?
It doesn't matter if there is a need or not, I'm sure the US Navy would be more than happy to have you aboard. You'd enter, go to basic, and then probably officer training since you have your B.A. degree, and you'd well be on your way.
