Korean? How much could an English/[listed language] freelance translator expect to make per word?
Translators of Arabic, German, French, Spanish, and Chinese into English can all expect to make an average of 12 cents per word. Basque, Breton, and Irish Gaelic, though relatively rare, fetch about the same rate.

Translators of Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, or Hindi can expect a little less鈥? cents per word.

But if you translate from a language that is spoken in a country with a very high cost of living, like Denmark or Finland, you can expect to charge about 15 cents per word.

Dutch %26gt; English translation US $0.14 - 0.16 per target word

French %26gt; English translation US $0.13 - 0.15 per target word

Editing %26amp; Proofreading US $35 per hour

Minimum fee for any one job US $35

Notarization fee US $15

While there鈥檚 a pretty high demand for Danish and Dutch, there鈥檚 still probably twice as much work for translators from more widely spoken languages like Spanish and French. How much could an English/[listed language] freelance translator expect to make per word?
A truly freelance translator (that is, one who works with direct clients instead of through translation agencies) living in the US can expect to make more than double the rates suggested by Profuy.
