What does this mean and how is it pronounced? It's Russian?

Translators (Google, Babelfish etc) are a bit sketchy on translations, so I'm hoping to catch someone who's a native in Russia, or someone who fluently speaks Russian.

Помните, что вы должны умереть.

As above; What does it mean and how is it pronounced? What does this mean and how is it pronounced? It's Russian?
Google translator is right in this case. It’s Russian translation of the old Latin phrase "Memento mori" - "Remember that you must die".

it doesn't even resembles russian, and from "u menia net sill" it is as distant as from any other random russian phrase.

How much money do translators make?

I plan on learing to speak Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, German, Serbian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. I am already learning Spanish, and will be learning Japanese over the summer. How much would I make as a translator with these languages? How much money do translators make?
It depends where you live, and where you are hired.

It could range anywhere between 20K-100K. So a yahoo answers estimate wont help you.

Incase you didn't know, It takes anywhere between 4-7 years to learn a language fluently, depending on which language. To learn all those languages, It would take a good 15-20 years to have them all learnt, assuming you learned more than one, this would also mean your deticating 60% of your day, to languages.

Learning Japanese over the summer.....You wont learn much over the summer, so if you think a language takes that short of time to learn, think again. How much money do translators make?
Here's some information on the average salary: http://www1.salary.com/Translator-salary鈥?/a>

I plan on becoming a translator as well. As of right now, I am learning French, Spanish, Latin, and Chinese. How much money do translators make?
Textual Translators get paid by the word, around 10-25 cents per word. Verbal, non-simultaneous vary between 35000-90000 a year. Simultaneous Translators can make 850 dollars a day!

  • What do these russian things mean?

I think my friend used a translator...what do these mean?

    любов?ь к два - тот.

    and

    Здесь?,? но тепер?ь они ушли.?

    Please help...and be honest.

Thanks! What do these russian things mean?
The first one is idiomatic, and I can only guess (husband is on the phone). It literally translates: love to two - so. It probably means something like "Love to both of you."

The second one means; "Here, but now they have gone."What do these russian things mean?
Both sentences don't make any sense in Russian. Probably, the last one means "They have been here, but now they have left" but I'm not sureWhat do these russian things mean?
The first one is "love for two - there."

The second is "Here, but now they've left."

How much do translators and/or interpreters get paid?

I'm just wondering this because I want to be a translator and/or an interpreter when I'm older and I was wondering how much they get paid? I can speak English, German and French and I want to learn Russian or another language at some point. How much do translators and/or interpreters get paid?
As another commenter said, there are many factors. You might want to take a look at the American Interpretors Association webpage:

    http://www.atanet.org/

In particular, they have a page on careers in translation and interpreting:

    http://www.atanet.org/careers/index.php

I think this information may answer your real question, which is whether a career in translation/interpreting is a good choice. How much do translators and/or interpreters get paid?
it depends on a lot of things :

    1) the number of languages you know

    2) your level of education (if you have a masters degree or a phd ....)

    3) the country were you live

    4) the experience that you have

    5) your work place (you can be a translator but you can work in diffrent places : with an embassy ... In a company .... As a tourist guide .... )

I can't just give you number .... But believe me you are going to be payed well !!

I have been speaking Russian for 29 years, and I can understand that probably, the person is at the beginning of learning the language. This passage is full of grammar mistakes and I can't understand everything or at least it sounds weird.

I will translate only what I have understood.

I don't care about you and I don't say that you need to accept me.

You can send me a message as I am not arrogant. You don't know me. Bye.

Honestly, it doesn't make any sense.

This was NOT written by a native Russian. Most likely somebody used online machine translation.

Yes, you can use this website http://2cyr.com/decode/?lang=en to convert the gibberish characters back into cyrillic.

Your particular example says "谐谢邪胁薪邪褟,袪械写邪泻褌懈褉芯胁邪褌褜" (main, Edit). You can then translate the text in cyrillic through google or by asking here on yahoo.Russian To English Translation?
These are not Russian words and words of any other language in the world. This happens when your mail service uses wrong encoding system (differ than encoding system of sender). Try to change it (they usually have some variants of encoding) and then you will be able to read what they wrote you.

You should know it almost fluently if you want to be a translator/interpreter.Is russian a good language to study in the U.S?
For North America, you should study Spanish (Latin America) since most people in this continent speak Spanish (after English). Next you can study, French (Canada) and Chinese (a lot of Chinese in San Francisco and New York).

This would not have been possible without your prayers, especially those of my mother. This year has been extremely good to me. First, to finally get in contact with you all, and than to find out I am expecting. I hope you understand when I say that it would be very difficult for me to travel to meet you all, but I do pray that next year after I deliver, we should meet. I wish that you all could travel and be with me next year. Especially my mother. I miss you all. Please share my good news with all my family and with those who remember me. "Your innocence is mine!"

Refers to a character of my friend- I don't trust online translators. Also, yes, it sounds horribly evil and wicked- as it's supposed to you. The other one I am wondering about is simply "I am the monster in your head". Yes, both quotes are wicked, and that's the point. What is a really accurate and professional (and free) translator?

One that is good with English, Spanish, French, Russian, etc

    One that real translators use

Maybe even one that translates Ancient Greek, Latin, Old English, etc if such a thing is real, but not a necessity, that would just be cool

I guess I am just looking for something clean and simple and all around an excellent translatorWhat is a really accurate and professional (and free) translator?
Sorry, but there is NO good online translator. People will swear by Google Translate or Babblefish (or a handful of others) but what they don't realize is that the people who actually speak or read the destination language laugh their butts off at the translations.

I've had students鈥攁t university level鈥攈and in translation assignments done by translation software. Needless to say it is *always* noticeable and the university doesn't look kindly on academic fraud.

YOU WILL NOT SOUND PROFESSIONAL IF YOU USE ONLINE TRANSLATION. YOU WILL NOT FOOL ANYONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE LANGUAGE.

Take a look through the translations question on this forum. Look at the answers given by people who used online translation then look at the answers from native speakers or mid-level (sometimes even beginner) students.

    ETA:

If you're "well aware of the flaws of online and computer translation" then why did you ask "what is a really accurate and professional translator?" Why did you ask for "one that is good with [various languages]"? Best of all, why, if you want to be a translator, did you ask for an online translator "that real translators use"?

Sorry if I seem to be hard on you, but something here just doesn't add up. At the very least you've wasted the time of three people.

    ETA:

OK, now we're on the right track; "a step above a multilingual dictionary and a step below a full online translator"鈥攄one, see link.

You can search for full terms and phrases鈥攕ometimes they're in the dictionary but usually they'll be in the forums; scroll down past the dictionary definitions to get to relevant forum posts. If you need a translation that hasn't yet been covered just join the forums and ask away.

I hope you can understand the frustration of taking the time to answer a question only to find out some conflicting information. In addition it did seem that you were looking for something that doesn't exist, but yet you said that you knew it didn't exist. And remember, it's your time too!

Hopefully WordReference will be just what you're looking for. It's not instant, but it is quality: native speakers, linguists, learners, and more. Good luck with it!What is a really accurate and professional (and free) translator?
Really accurate and professional translators are human beings. No "automatic" online translator can understand context and pick the right meaning among many possibilities. Real translators use dictionaries and their own expertise and linguistic abilities. Their time is not free, nor should it be. If you are interested in accuracy, you are going to have to pay for it. If you don't care about accurate communication, just keep on using the online "automatic translators." It's a trade-off.

Wondercow is right. You are wasting your time and ours. What you are looking for does not exist except in some Star Trek fantasy world. What is a really accurate and professional (and free) translator?
Google translate is good! I use it a lot. It has just what your looking for too!

Translate this from english to russian?

i need to translate the following from english to russian (like the same sentence but typed out in russian letters)

"you're such a stupid boy, you need to quit smoking already, thats really bad"

please don't use an online translator though, because i tried that and it didn't really translate it quite right.

here, I omitted the word "boy" and used a command (instead of "you need to", I said "stop smoking") and at the end I substituted "that's really bad' with "it will end up being bad"

polite form would be: "褌褘 褌邪泻芯泄 谐谢褍锌械薪褜泻懈泄 屑邪谢褜褔懈泻, 褌械斜械 薪邪写芯 斜褉芯褋懈褌褜 泻褍褉懈褌褜, 褝褌芯 芯褔械薪褜 胁褉械写薪芯"

Can u keep it simple please.

Thank youHOW DOES GOOGLE TRANSLATOR WORK?
There is no software that can translate just a text - software can translate _words_ and that's it - see, to translate text - especially in Chat - it is a MUST to comprehend the content and programs can NOT do it, only humans can.

Simple example - word 'crane' could mean a bird in one context and a construction site mechanizm in another - same type of multi-meaning words exist in Russian

Impossible to use software - it will produce laughable results and just "kill" your Chat effortsHOW DOES GOOGLE TRANSLATOR WORK?

  • Russian grammar and sentance structure?

    I'm teaching myself how to speak, read, and write in Russian. I know the alphabet, and a few words (animals, objects, foods, etc) and I know some sentence starters like "Where is...?" and "Where are...?" and "My name is...". My question is if I know how to say "Where is...?" (袚写械 薪邪褏贸写懈褌褋褟...?) and "my" (屑芯械泄) and "cat" (泻芯褕泻邪);

in a proper sentence would I say "袚写械 薪邪褏贸写懈褌褋褟 屑芯械泄 泻芯褕泻邪?".

Please do not use an online translator, answer only if you fluently know Russian.Russian grammar and sentance structure?
i can't write in russian on my keyboard but you don't even need nahoditsa. You can just say "gde moya koshka" it's moya because koshka is female.
russian is a n intelectual language like birds, it is not a lokk at that and make that sound basik honeyRussian grammar and sentance structure?
    袚写械 屑芯褟 泻芯褕泻邪?

袚写械 屑芯泄 泻芯褌? (if you are asking about a male cat)

You can sometimes drop main verb from simple sentences where surrounding grammar is enough to deduce it's meaning, and this is one of such cases.

"袚写械 薪邪褏芯写懈褌褋褟 ..." also sounds more like "where do I find ...", kinda the way ou would ask about a famous building.

"屑芯褟" is feminine form of "屑芯泄", "泻芯褌" is tomcat.

Russia is way harder than Spanish or French ... hope you have good memory and lots of patience.
I'm russian, but because of my english dad, I enver learned. :[ Just letting you know i'm in the same situation.Russian grammar and sentance structure?
No. This means "Where is my cat located." You don't need to say 薪邪褏贸写懈褌褋褟. Just "gde moya koshka" is correct.

And it is "moya" rather than "moey." "Moey" is the genitive/ dative /prepositional/ instrumental form. For example, you would use it in the phrase "s moey koshkoy," meaning "with my cat."
I find it interesting that you are learning to speak, write and read in Russian. I am so sorry I do not know Any Russian at all, However, I do Know a Russian Proverb that might be Interesting to you. It spoke to my Heart many times..........

"If everyone gives a thread, the Poor Man will have a Shirt." (smile) Hope you Liked It.
    The first part is correct.

If you cat is a male, then you say "泻芯褌"

If your cat is female, you got it right.

Now, the middle part is incorrect.

If your cat is male you would say " 屑芯泄"

If your cat is female, you would say "屑芯褟"

So, the right way, if your cat is male, would be: "谐写械 薪邪褏芯写懈褌褋褟 屑芯泄 泻芯褌?"

If the cat is female, the right way would be: "谐写械 薪邪褏芯写懈褌褋褟 屑芯褟 泻芯褕泻邪?"

    Hope i helped!
yeah you've got it right. the sentence structure is very loose, but similar to english in it's order. there are no articles such as "the" or "an" but the "my" adj. is fine to be used in the sentence in the form you tried.

    For example here:

That is why you should visit their sites and check if there is any information.

I'd like to be a certified translator of Polish and/or Russian in California..What should I do???Certified translator?
I'm actually trying to start my career in translating myself. Luckily, I have a friend who does translating, and she recommended this website to me:

    http://www.atanet.org/

This is the website for the American Translators Association and it has a lot of useful information in terms of jobs, which languages you are interested in translating to/from and also it has a list of universities/colleges and other schools that offer programs for certifications in translating or interpreting. Unfortunately, there is a membership fee for this group, but I found lots of information on the website without having to join it or pay anything. The pay for these jobs will depend on who you end up working for. Of course, the government jobs are pretty high paying, and you get pretty good benefits too. (US Government, United Nations, World Health Organization, etc.) I hope this helps and good luck!Certified translator?
I don't know how it works in the states but I would imagine you need to go to either college or university and actually study the languages ( even if you already speak them) and get a degree that says you're proficient in them. Or actually take translation courses or even get a translator's degree? You could also try those embassies, depending on how it works there, after some tests they might give you some certificate that allows you to translate those languages for official documents.

But then again, that's how it works in Europe, not sure about the states.

How retarded would someone look if they translated a whole book using Google translate?

I know an author who wants to translate his writings into Spanish, French and Russian, but can't afford a translator. He says he is going to use "Google Translator" which is free. He's then going to publish the translations and try and sell them.

I told him he would appear to be extremely retarded in the translated language, but just how badly does the translation program work? How retarded would someone look if they translated a whole book using Google translate?
The translation program on google is horrible. Because it's so generalized and offers so many languages I don't think the people who programmed the thing realized that each language is different some languages that may have nouns for things may not use it in day to day talking or writing. Not only are the translations bad, for particular languages like korean for example the translator absolutely sucks! I have tried to use the translator for spanish when I was in high school and it worked out pretty fair but since I was kind of advanced after I ran it through the translator I saw all the mistakes that a person who doesn't speak the language they are translating wouldn't notice. All in all don't use the google translator, the best solution I see here, if you're not willing to pay for translation services, is to get a dictionary translate each word of the sentence, then find out for that language what is the order for the parts of a sentence, and put it together. But it'll probably be very tedious but that's the price you have to pay if you don't want to pay the $!
It does sound like quite a ridiculous idea.

Google Translate isn't as bad as it used to be, or as bad as other translators currently are, though. Depending on which language he writes in, the French translation wouldn't be anywhere near as bad as the Russian translation. English to French is much more reliable than English to Russian or English to Spanish, from experience.

Either way, the book wouldn't entirely make sense.
Maybe the author should just publish it in one language, wait until funds are raised from the sales of that book and publish it in other languages after? How retarded would someone look if they translated a whole book using Google translate?
They would look ridiculous. Here's a real-life example of something similar. There were some people who wanted to write a book about English, but who had no knowledge of the language. They had a French-English dictionary, but they didn't speak French either. They spoke Portuguese. The solution: a Portuguese-French dictionary.

Yes, they actually translated every word from Portuguese to French to English. I'm amazed they ended up with anything you could actually read. The title of the book says it all, "English, How She Is Spoke."
Computerized translators are fine if you want the gist of a conversation, are shopping in a foreign country, asking directions, etc. but they will not translate correctly or accurately. The book will often appear to be in gibberish. How retarded would someone look if they translated a whole book using Google translate?
He would just appear like a fraud. I have no idea what sort of publisher would accept, publish, and sell such a ridiculous thing.
When you know a language, google translation will make you laugh.
    Very.

For Mrben's benefit the Russian Embassy is in Kensington Palace Gardens at the Bayswater Road end.

You might consider Tour Management (often called tour guides) I would suggest a course with WorldWideTravel training in Peterborough. Other ideas include advertising yourself on the web. You could set up a web site free to publicise what you have to offer. A word of warning - ask around all your friends what they would type into the search engine to find a Russian interpretor - use their answers to select a good domain name.

Can you translate plz??? to russian!?

Hi would you be so kind to translate this to russian? you see i want to write to a very handsome russian man, i met a while ago, and i would like to send him an email, however im not sure if he speaks english that well. and i also don't trust google Translator. so if a russian native could do it, it would be great. :) in russian words plz!

    Hello, how are you?

Do you speak English? If not, i will try to speak Russian

My name is Sara, I hope you understand me and appreciate my effort to try to speak Russian. I’m just sending you this message because I want to tell you that I admire you very much and I would like to keep talking to you. i hope you accept my friend request.

    Sincerely

    Sara

    (btw do you say Sincerely

in russian when you finish a letter??)Can you translate plz??? to russian!?
Since this man is not a total stranger, I am going to use "ty" instead of "vy" (you)

He must have done something for you to admire him so I will translate it as such (if, however, you like him a lot, you could say/write "Ты мне очень понравился" )

And I am going to use "write" in parenthesis if you plan to be pen pals

Sincerely is too formal, one would address it in business like letters.

So here is how I see it

    HEHEH! Nice translations:)

First off, this sounds like a machine translation from German to Russian (or some Turkic language to Russian). The essence is as follows: the subject transferred from a St. Petersburg branch of some university to the Mendeleev University of Technology in Moscow. She graduated with a degree and got a job. She is planning to spend her winter vacation (10 days) in Almaty (Kazakhstan). She concludes by asking a few questions, such as 'How are you?", "What's new?" and "Who do you keep in touch with?"....The end.Can someone help me with this russian phrase also not using translators. they dont work well??
I transferef from the institute of (Peter Filiala) from Moscow (technological institute) to (Mendeleva). I graduated from the university and i got a job. I'm getting ready to spend New Years in (Almanta) we have ten days off here. How are you? Anything new? Who do you still talk to?

Sorry i'm not russian i did the best i can... :)Can someone help me with this russian phrase also not using translators. they dont work well??
i am with the Moscow department of the technological university, i finished the university and started working. on the new year's i'm going in the Almati we have 10 days off. How are you? What's new? With which of our friends do you go out? I think it's sopmething like that
All he/she is saying is that he/she is from petersburg area and finished technical institute studied mendeleve table and got a job this year is going to almata also they have ten day break. How are you, whats new, with who other russian are you speaking

    How to Swear in russian?

My itouch translator says (写懈泻) when i type in d**k. I know it's pronounced deek. But this guy on youtube said you pronounce it like hui?

Also i type in (械斜邪褌褜) which means to f**k but some sights say its pronounced yob?

Why is this? How to Swear in russian?
As the wise man has said here - don't swear in the language you don't know. You have no idea what exactly you are saying and you can't measure the strength of your words. Once you step into these murky waters the native speakers will shower you with the texts you won't be capable to react the proper way on or even understand.

As for the first word mentioned - are you ready to decline it on cases? There are 6 cases in Russian, singular and plural numbers. Nearly each proposition demands it's case - there are 12 possible ways to sway you d**k grammatically before you move any further.

As for the second - it's a verb. Are you ready to conjugate it, make participles, gerund? The participles are in 3 genders, 2 numbers, 6 cases for each number - all together another 36 forms to operate. And it's a transitive verb, so who-ever you decide to *** - you have to decline him/her/it in the accusative case first. There are 3 major types of declinations and pronouns have their own system. And by the way, you in singular and you in plural are 2 different words, each with it's own 6 cases to know.

If some one gives you a ready phrase you won't concur the word with it. Don't even try to.
Joe most of the posters are correcy. If you're not a native don't go there ! A man once asked me what gives me headaches and my answer was " The Russian verb" to go"" In Russian, words change and sometimes dissappear, so your best bet is do what your mum told you "Don't swear"How to Swear in russian?
you're gonna get jumped. words are powerful. yes, russian is a colorful language but doesn't mean you can throw around words like that. plus, some russian words are so bad there is no english equivalent. now what does a fine, upstanding person such as yourself need to know these words for?
Don't ever swear in a language you don't speak. Swearing is a very subtle subject, you might easily say something absolutely different from what you were trying to say.How to Swear in russian?
    ur itouch translator sux

d*ck pronouced as Hui, the guy on utube was right

to ***** is (actually there is more than one word) u can say ebat' or trahatsya
Just give them the naprinka everyone in the world knows what it means.
    Tah Voy yu Mot

I think this is more universal.

Don't worry too much. Everything is okay/alright. Sleep well, you don't have to apologize. You are too....beautiful for this.
This IS Russian from an on-line translator or from someone who doesn't speak it very well. It's a transposition of English sentences in Russian (Russian has a very different structure).

Не волнуйтесь слишком много, все удастся.

"Don't worry too much. Everything will be alright."

Сон хорошо, и не имеет любые извинения.

"Sleep well and you don't have to apologize. "

    (completely incorrect)

Вы также .... красивый для этого.

You too are ... beautiful for that

Arbitre is right: this is Russian from a very bad online translator, i.e. the sentence probably initially came in English and was badly translated into Russian. Here's the English version of it:

Не волнуйтесь слишком много, все удастся.

Do not worry too much, everything will be fine.

Сон хорошо, и не имеетлюбые извинения.

Sleep well and don't have any regrets.

Вы также .... красивый для этого.

You are too beautiful/nice/pretty for this.

There is no such thing. On-line sentence translators are notorious bad because they do not translate grammar. They only translate word-by-word and do no grammatical analysis to check for grammar, word order, etc.

  • I need someone who can translate something for me in russian =D?

I need to know how to say "I really care about you" in Russian. If you could help me out I'd be happy =D. Don't use translator, because I can't read Russian and neither can the person I want to say it to.I need someone who can translate something for me in russian =D?
Well, this particular phrase can not be translated as word for word. And depending on context it would be translated differently. In case you want to express your romantic feelings but hezitate to say "I love you" or on the contrary you want to say "I really care for you... but not in romantic way" then you'd say a phrase in Russian that would be translated back into English as "I like you" that phrase would be:

    Ty mnye nravishsya

Another option: lets say that you want to express your friendship to the same gender friend (situation completely unrelated to romantic feeling) then you'd say it that way:

    if you are a male

"Ya ochen ne bezrazlichen k tebe"

    if you are female

"Ya ochen ne bezrazlichna k tebe"

Or the same variation if the phrase is said to female

    "Ty mne sovsem ne bezrazlichna"

    and to male

    "Ty mne sovsem ne bezrazlichen"

In the second variation words "sovsem" and "ochen" are intechangeble

But be careful as this phrase said to a member of opposite sex definitely is very censual. This phrase translated back to English would be "I really care for you" but it is expressed with double negating as if to say "I am really not careless about you"

I hope this is not too confusing

Edit 1: Since you said that you want to say it to someone you like then use the first option: "Ty mne nravishsya". I am curious though - if a person who you want to say this doesn't read Russian then he is most likely is not Russian nor native Russian speaker... So what's the reason that you want to tell him this in Russian?I need someone who can translate something for me in russian =D?
i can help you, but need more info, do you want to say that to someone , like a family member, or to someone you are. in a relationship with, it makes the difference which phrase you useI need someone who can translate something for me in russian =D?
Fort right translation I need a context, but it can be:

    Tee mne nravishsya.

    or

    Tee mne ne bezrazlichen.

    or

Ya po nastoyashchemu zabochus' o tebe.

Agree with the above post that either the Ukrainian you spoke to was not very fluent in Russian, or your accent was somehow difficult to understand.
I'm native Russian speaker and 携 薪械 屑芯谐褍 胁 褝褌芯 锌芯胁械褉懈褌褜 is the right way to say this. The verb 胁械褉懈褌褜 means to believe. 胁械褉懈褌褜褋褟 is not a very correct verb to use, it exists but rarely used. The Ukranian that you spoke with either does not speak Russian (not all Ukranians do) or either you said it with an accent that s/he could not understand. How do you say this in Russian?

What is the best translator for emails?

I'm getting emails that need to be translated into english from russian and ghanaianWhat is the best translator for emails?
The only good translator is to learn the language and read the original in the language in which it was written. Or at least find a trustworthy person to translate for you.

There is no good online translator. Only people who do not speak the language and, therefore, cannot judge the quality of the result think that they work and recommend their favorite. In reality they give idiotic and laughable results.

Try the following test: take your favorite headline, song lyric, book title, etc... translate it to russian of ghanaian then back into english. See what happens to your original phrase (this is a great party game, btw: "guess the garbled song title")... now imagine relying on this to read an important email originally written im russian of ghanaian.

You are confusing transliteration and pronunciation. The translator that you typed your name into changed the letters of your name to Cyrillic equivalents. That is called transliteration. If you translated your name to the Russian equivalents it might be Antonin Briciovich or some such thing. But there is not reason to do that. You are Anthony Briseno. (sorry, I can't do a tilde).

Who can accurately translate this Russian?(no translators please)?
This is a pretty gay poem

    В реанимации лежит душа...

A soul is in intensive care

    Под капельницей из простых улыбок…

With an IV of simple smiles

    Излечиваясь неспеша

    healing not in a rush

    От яда пройденных ошибок.

from the poison of past mistakes

    Душа была щедра всегда,

    the soul was always generous

    Распахивалась перед каждым встречным

opening itself for anyone that came along

Не зная: - есть предел, когда

not knowing that ther is a limit when

    Раздариваешь ты себя, безпечно…

    you give yourself away carelessly

    Душа себя дарила всем,

the soul gave itself away to everyone

    И чахла от людских проблем...

    and withered from human problems

    Их на земле всегда немало.

that are always numerous on the earth

    Но жаловаться душам не дано,

but it's not possible for souls to complain

И закрываться, тоже им, не гоже...

    or to be closed

    Душа болела так давно,

the soul was sick for such a long time

Сама болела... а других лечила, все же...

it was sick but it healed others all the same

    И вот, теперь, лежит душа

    but now it is lying

    Под капельницей из улыбок ваших...

under an iv of your smiles

Слаба... больна... но как же хороша!

    weak, sick, but how good!

И нет души людской на свете краше.

and there is no soul in the world more beautiful

Наша жизнь-как фонарика узкий свет,а от лучика влево и вправо-темнота!Миллионы безмолвных лет...Все,что было до нас и придет во след,увидать не дано нам право.Хорошо б лет на тысячу растянуть время каждого поколенья,вот тогда б получился бы путь как путь,а не наше одно мгновенье!Но судьба усмехнулась бы:-Для чего?Вы мечтами себя тревожите,если даже мгновенья-то одного часто толком прожить не можете!Can someone accurately translate this Russian?(no translators pls)?
Our life is narrow like a beam of light from a lantern,

the darkness lies to the both sides of this beam.

Millions of silent years, all that existed before us

and all that will follow after— we have no possibility of seeing that.

How great it will be if only we could expand a life of every generation to thousand years,

that would be a journey, not like these short instants we're living now.

But our fate would ask us: for what? Why are you dreaming about it,

if you even can't live these instants in earnest?
