Russian speakers? Can you please tell me the difference between the words 褎邪泻褍谢褜褌械褌 and 泻邪褎械写褉邪?

My dictionary says "department" for both. How do these terms differ?

If all you have is an online translator, save your time; I can use those just as well as you can.Russian speakers? Can you please tell me the difference between the words 褎邪泻褍谢褜褌械褌 and 泻邪褎械写褉邪?
those are two separate structures within russian universities. 褎邪泻褍谢褜褌械褌 is faculty, like faculty of linguistics or faculty of history - it defines what students major in. while 泻邪褎械写褉邪 is a structure dedicated to smaller fields of studying, for example - 泻邪褎械写褉邪 of foreign languages - where students of any faculty study different foreign languages or 泻邪褎械写褉邪 of russian literature and so on.Russian speakers? The first word by itself is faculty and the second word by itself is chair, but when you say them together it becomes department chair.
