The only good translator is to learn the language and read the original in the language in which it was written. Or at least find a trustworthy person to translate for you.
There is no good online translator. Only people who do not speak the language and, therefore, cannot judge the quality of the result think that they work and recommend their favorite. In reality they give idiotic and laughable results.
Try the following test: take your favorite headline, song lyric, book title, etc... translate it to russian of ghanaian then back into english. See what happens to your original phrase (this is a great party game, btw: "guess the garbled song title")... now imagine relying on this to read an important email originally written im russian of ghanaian.
