Try the Institute of Translating and Interpreting - I'm sure they'll be able to provide the information you require. However, you don't have to register as a translator - you can work freelance without any problems. You only have to register if you want to do translating/interpreting work for the police and the courts etc. Again, the ITI should be able to help you with this.Where can i register as a translator in UK?

try the relevent embassies... they use approved translators maybe they need another?
